Just a few minutes’ walk from each Umeda station, our restaurant is located in Ohatsu Tenjin, an area lined with izakayas.

Upon opening the door and ascending to the second floor, you’re greeted by a stylish ambiance.

The space is quite expansive, featuring about 4 counter seats and approximately 40 table seats.

A unique feature of our restaurant is the “swing-style sofa seats,” which sway gently like a hammock, adding a fun twist to your dining experience.

Our specialty is healthy meat dishes, particularly those made with horse meat.

  • Horse Meat Sushi (2 pieces for 380 yen) The horse meat sushi is available in limited quantities. On this day, we ordered two pieces each of three different types of horse meat sushi.

Though all from the same animal, comparing them reveals subtle differences in texture and taste, which is quite fascinating. They’re easy to eat with no distinct gamey flavor and are delicious.

  • Fresh Horse Sashimi Assortment, 5 Types, 4 Pieces Each (1,480 yen) The assortment includes harami, loin, thigh, belly, and tongue – a generous serving! It’s served with three types of condiments: ginger, garlic, and wasabi, along with a slightly sweet soy sauce for meat sashimi from Kumamoto.

Each type has a satisfying texture and is delicious. The meat sashimi soy sauce is quite sweet, perfectly complementing the horse meat.

In addition to horse meat sashimi, the menu is diverse, including pasta, grilled dishes, and fried foods.

Maruyoshi Sushi in Daikokucho ◇ Market Sushi Shop ◇ Located in Naniwa Ward, Shikitsu Higashi 2-chome, just a three-minute walk northeast from Daikokucho Station on the Midosuji Line, you’ll find Maruyoshi inside the Kizu Wholesale Market.

The interior of the restaurant features a counter with 5 seats facing the sushi chefs, one 4-seater table, and two 2-seater tables. It’s a rather cozy sushi spot.

Located around Umeda Douyama Town, there are popular sister restaurants like “Shamo Saburo” and “Toukei Jiro,” but this is the flagship store of the “Toukei (Shamo)” group.

The restaurant is situated right in the heart of a bustling entertainment district, densely packed with dining establishments and pink-themed shops. It’s slightly off to the east from the Hankyu Higashi-Nakadori Shopping Street arcade, which you can reach from Umeda Station.
